My hubby recently got a ticket for flashing his high-beams to warn drivers of a speed trap..should he fight it?
I say yes, he should take it to court because there is no such law on the books in any state of the union, and the judge will throw the case out.

Speeding Ticket Concern!?
I got a speeding ticket this past summer in South Carolina going exactly 25 mph over the speed limit. It was the first time I have ever been pulled over and have a clean record previous to the ticket. I got my license suspended for 6 months because of the GA under 21 speeding laws (I was 18 at the time, but 19 when the notification of it being suspended occured). Does anyone know if this is the correct punishment? Like does my age afterward affect anything or does the fact that I was in a different state than where I am from affect anything? ANY and ALL help would be much appreciated!
Should I fight my speeding ticket?
So I was pulled over on I-287 yesterday by a nj state trooper. He said I was going 90 in a 65mph construction zone. The method he used was guaging. He said he was doing that for 2 miles but I think thats bull because I would have seen him. I also wasn't doing any more than 80. Should I fight this and if so does anybody have any defenses.

Speeding violation for teenager?
Hi, I'm a sixteen year old on a junior operators lisce3nce and just got pulled over for my first time I had to accelerate to avoid being rear ended. The officer clocked me at 84, put me down as only 10 over the limit in the designated box, but put down my actual speed on the corner of my ticket. Which number will be used in court.
Would you like to make the speed limit unenforceable?
I was charged with speeding on the freeway at a time and place where a speed limit sign was required to enforce the law, but there was none posted. So, I went to court to fight the ticket and lost. Now, I'm going to appeal with the support of the National Motorists Association. After my case is overturned in the Court of Appeals, it will be official that the speed limit cannot be enforced on the expressway at the time and place speed limit signs are not visible.
You know what this means? Speed traps will disappear everywhere except in front of speed limit signs. I know that interests you!
So, these are my two questions:
1. Will you please help me with this cause and donate legal money for this battle? Just think of how much money a speeding ticket would cost you!
2. If you're a lawyer, would you be willing to fight the case with me?
I'm not ignorant of the law. The law actually says that the speed limit should not be enforced if at the time and place of the alleged violation a speed limit sign is not in proper position and able to be seen by an ordinarily observant person. I'm not disputing the fact of a speed limit, I'm disputing the fact of WHERE the limit can be enforced.
I'd also like to add that I'm pro-safety. The facts show that differences in speed are more dangerous than the speed itself. For example, everybody driving at 75 mph is safer than one person driving at 75mph and everybody else at 65 mph.
We all know that a large number of states in the USA have speed limits of 75 mph. So, I don't see what's the problem other than some stupid laws created for ticket revenue NOT safety.
Is a speeding fine a criminal conviction ?
I werent taken to court , I had three penalty points and a fine of £60 .
I allways see the question on application forms - "have you ever been convicted of a criminal offence "
I do have several spent convictions and just one unspent . The unspent will become spent in April next year .

I recently got a ticket for reckless driving by way of speeding (86/55 i know i know, i don't speed anymore!) in Fairfax County Virginia, i have had one other speeding ticket this year but am otherwise a good driver. Should i hire a lawyer or represent myself in trying to get a lesser charge of simple speeding or improper driving? Also if i take a volunary driving course before the court date i will have +1 points on my license, should i take it or wait to see if they'll asign it as an alternative?

How to beat a speeding ticket in court?
I received a speeding ticket in Hillsborough County - Florida. The charge is for going 55 in a 35. The street is set-up like this - 55 speed limit for a stretch; next a sign to reduce speed ahead; then 45 speed limit for a stretch; then a sign for 35 speed limit posted at a railroad crossing - no prior warning to reduce speed ahead. I was at the lawful speed of 35 within 88 yards or less after passing the sign. The officer that pulled me over stated that I was driving aggressively due to lane changing, so I told him that my blinker was on & I looked everytime I changed lanes therefore I wasn't driving aggressively - he didn't write a ticket for that. He was not the one that clocked me and the location where I was clocked was right at the 35 mile post. Worst case, I think I should've gotten the ticket for 55 in a 45. If you know the laws of the road in Florida great! Please let me know how best to beat this 0 ticket. - Thx

Anyone ever go to court over a speeding ticket?
I earned myself a 0 ticket this morning. I violated the speed limit, following too close, "didn't use my turn signal", and something else I can't seem to make out. I would like to take it to court because although I was speeding, I was in a steady line of traffic; therefore everyone else was speeding. Also, the unmarked police cruiser was closer to me than I was to the car in front of me. Plus, I'm pretty sure I always use my turn signal so I don't know why she wrote that I didn't use it.
Just curious if you think I'll be able to reduce the ticket price by going to my court date. Also, what should I say.

Speeding ticket in massachusetts?
Yesterday i went to my local magistate to fight a speeding ticket that i felt i was unfaily judged on. I felt I would do pretty good and possiblely win the case cause i had good evidence. I proved that the radar gun was innacurate from lack of certification, showed how obstructions like a hedge of bushes affected the officers view for estimate, and showed errors on the ticket itself like lack of signature, but to no avail i was found responsible. I opted to appeal the case in a higher court and am now trying to reformulate my case to be more persuaive to the judge. Any thing special I can do? Are large obstructions like bushes capable of disturbing radar?
By the way I am 17 and this may be the reason why i was proven responsible despite the evidence.

Hiring a attorney/lawyer for a speeding ticket?
I recently got pulled over for speeding at 56 on a 35 road. Since I went over 15 mph over the speed limit, I would have to appear in court. I've searched online and found that some people advise to hire a attorney/lawyer, so he/she can reduce the charge, and hopefully keep points off my license. I've never hired an attorney/lawyer for anything in my life. So I want to know if there's anything I should keep in mind while hiring one? Is there some etiquette? Is there something specific I should ask/check for when hiring a attorney/lawyer? I'm really sort of lost on how to approach this.
