How much would insurance go up for a speeding ticket in california with Mercury insurace?
I just got pulled over doing 82 in a 50. I dont know if i got a reckless driving or not? the cop didnt say anyting. I dont really care about the cost of the ticket. I cant go to traffic school cuz i aleady went 8 months ago for my other ticket. So when can i actually go and take traffic school again? and how many points will i get for the ticket? and how will it effect my insurace?? I live in California and i have Mercury.

Depending on what type of insurance you carry one speeding ticket would increase the base rate by 2%. That is a $354 increase a year, or $1062 over 3 years (companies usually surcharge for 3 years).
Speeding more than 25 mph over the posted speed limit and the fine should be around $380. The uniform bail schedule that the state of California puts out is only a guide and the jurisdiction in which you were cited can determine the exact fine amount.
It also notes that unless otherwise shown, the maximum penalties for the listed offenses are six months in the county jail or a fine of $1,000, or both. The penalty amounts are intended to be used to provide standard fine amounts for a first-offense conviction of a violation shown where a fine is used as all or a portion of the sentence imposed.

No one here can tell you for certain how much your insurance company may increase your rates. With your record, they may simply cancel you.
