I made a left turn onto a street under construction and got a speeding ticket in California, can I fight it?
The thing is that I never saw the reduced speed limit sign, because it was facing my right. I assumed it was 35 because the speed limit is normally 45. The cops were just waiting with their radar guns. I had no idea the sign said 25. I feel like I got scammed, like a real cheap shot. There was one construction worker at the corner, but where I got stopped there were none in sight.

You can fight all speeding tickets in court

You’re supposed to be paying close attention to everything when you are driving. If you had paid close attention you would have seen the sign and you would have seen cops with radar guns. You can try to fight the ticket, but since a sign was posted your only chance of winning will be if the cop doesn’t show up to court.

Sign or no sign, construction zones are just like school zones.
25mph
Also, the cop may have stopped you outside of the 25mph zone, but he clocked you IN the zone, so where you ended up doesn’t even matter.
It’s just a speeding ticket, so unless the judge gives you some awesome plea bargain for admitting guilt, fight it! The worst that could happen is you loose, and you pay the ticket.
