Does a speeding ticket in Canada gets recorded in your United States Driving history ?
My main concern is points against me here in the US which will affect my insurance policy.
I got a speeding ticket (not reckless driving) going 62 in a 35. How many points is that? 6? 4? I live in VA.
I was rushing home from work to my mother who was sick and was in need of a little bit of care. I was just wondering how many points this ticket is going to be on the DMV record. I know reckless driving is six points but is a speeding ticket six points also because I was going 28 over but the cop did not give me reckless driving.
I agreed to taking a driving course to get a speeding ticket removed from my record, but it still shows up?
It is still on my record, even though it notates it is dismissed. I have 2 questions. one, is there, or could there have been any way to completely remove it from my record so it not even show up when a criminal background check is done. Two, it says it was dismissed without prejudice, which i think means, the charge can be brought up against me at a future date....could they have dismissed it "with prejudice" or why didn't they and what would prompt them to reopen the case, is there any thing I can do now to get it dismissed "with prejudice"
If I get 3 points on my driving record, do I lose my license? and for how long?

i live in md and i was in va and got pulled over going 79 in a 55....the cop was really nice but said he had to give me a ticket for wreckless driving but the ticket was just a court summons...i can't hire a lawyer so whats gonna happen? oh and i have an absolutely clean driving record

how does a reckless driving record affet in my life?
I get a speeding ticket for driving at 85 on a 65 in Dinwiddie, VA.. I understand speeding in excess of 80 in VA is classified as a reckless driving and it's a class one misdemeanor criminal.
I'm planning on just prepay and forget it feeling so sick of lawyers full of lying and exaggerating the case.
What I'm wondering is, if I have a misdemeanor on my driving record - or it may appear as a class one criminal? - does it seriously affect my life by like having disadvantages while applying a grad school or a job?
As far as I remember, I was required to fill out kind of a form asking if I ever committed a crime except for traffic violation. I just worry my record will affect negatively for my grad school or a job apply, because it's not just a traffic violation but a class one misdemeanor criminal.

Could an employer still find speeding tickets if my record is clean?
A year ago I got a speeding ticket it was nothing major, just going a couple miles over the speed limit. I just did a driving record search through my state DOT and the record said that my driving record is clean. If an employer would do a background check would they be able to find the ticket?
I got a speeding ticket in Maine but I am from Mass., how will this effect my MA license/Driving Record?
I was pulled over for travelling 39 in a 25 in a remote area in Maine by a unmarked Maine State Police vehicile. Upon the traffic stop I was told to pull into a private lot.
I was asked what I was doing in the area I answered "Going for a drive."
I then asked the Trooper why I was pulled over. He answered "You were going a little fast, 39 in a 25."
The road was a long straightaway near Skowegan(SP.) and I did not see a 25 mph listing.
Without any other communication, a Maine State Police K9 unit was called to the scene. No further questions were asked by the Troopers and the dog did not signal anything to the best of my knowledge.
The K9 unit left and the officers left me with a speeding ticket totaling around 0.
The Trooper issued the ticket to my former address (ny new address was affixed in sticker form on the back, per MA law).
The area I was in is an extremely long drive from my home so I want to know if I fight it, where would the court date be?
Will this affect my MA license if I simply pay the fine?
Is this a beatable ticket in Maine possibly based on the wrong address?
Is this a moving violation against my license and insurance in MA?
How long does it take for accidents or tickets to come off of my driving record in Massachusetts?

I just received a speeding ticket in VA & live in OH, will it show on my driving record?
Once upon a time there were several states that did not reciprocate driving information with other states. I moved from VA to OH in 2002 and purchased insurance and my record came back clean, but it was not. I had three recent speeding tickets that did not show in Ohio.
Now, it is 2009 and I don't know if Virginia shares information with Ohio or not. I am due to renew my insurance in one month. The ticket is for 80 in a 65.
I'm trying to find out if Virginia is still a non-reciprocating state. If they are now a reciprocating state, is there any way for me to renew insurance and have this ticket "lost."
And, Yes...I am planning to pay it right away.
Does toll violation affect your driving record?
Let's say, a driver didn't have enough cash to cover a toll when he/she passed through so the toll had sent he/she a fine through the mail because they took a snap of your license plate. Does anyone know if this fine affects your driving record? I know speeding ticket does, but what about a simple toll violation?
