I got pulled over in Kentucky with a Kentucky liscense. But i was moving to Florida. In the mix up of moving i forgot that i even got a ticket and i even lost my ticket. But at the 3 week mark of not paying it i changed my liscense to florida and they didnt say anything. Its been over a month now. I never went to court. So what can they do. Do i have a warrant out for me. And if i do how long will i go to jail for. Like a night a wekk. And if there is no warrant how much will my ticket still be. My ticket was 178 dollars. And I got pulled over for 17 over.

Speeding but no ticket?
Usually get pulled over for speeding you get some kind of paper work you gotta sign or you get a citation or something right? Well, I was speeding in Polk County Florida and i was doing 80 on a 60 (or 65 don't remember) and the undercovered police offer says since i have a clean record instead of the ticket being 500 dollars or something hes gonna make it 280 for the ticket. I only gave him my license, he didn't ask for anything else. It was still April 1st and i'm hoping this isn't a big April fools jokes on me and if it is then its one of the best April fools jokes done on me. He didn't tell me if he was going to mail it or how i was going to pay for it. He didn't write a ticket or make me sign anything i just gave him my license he told me how much it was going to be and told me to drive safely. When he went back to his car after telling me to drive safely I didn't know if he was going to write me a ticket so I stayed there till he drove away. I'm wondering if hes just going to mail me the ticket or its a big April fools joke. If the ticket is by mail how long does it usually take for them to mail me the ticket? I'm 18 years old and the cars my moms btw.

Not writing on back of ticket?
Okay my friend got a ticket for speeding in Florida.I always thought it was required for them to write on the back in the clearly marked sections what your options were.Fine,Court,Traffic school, etc.It's been a week and it still isn't up on the clerk of courts website{In my county ANYTHING court related is free public info}which these things usually are within a week.I know I check people out all the time.So I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure if they're required to write on the back or is it just a courtesy?

Okay I know I was speeding and deserved the ticket thats fine. I was in turner county going 85 in a 60 I never saw him I gotoff the exit to get gas and he said I ran the stopsign too. Which I didnt but I cant prove that. Anyway I called turner county clerk of courts like 10 times and finally got through and they want 704$!!! Thats ridiculous im 19 going in the marines in a month and cant afford that so what are my options? 700$ is like 2 or 3 tickets in florida. I live in florida and have a florida license. This is actually a 2 part question. First part is:
I got pulled over for speeding in Florida (Polk County) doing 41mph in a 30mph zone. The officer cut me a break and wrote me a ticket for failing to abide by a traffic control device. On the citation is says, (and I quote)...
"OPTIONS:
1. Pay a civil penalty in the amount of $_____________ by mail or in person......"
Where the line is to fill in the amount, the officer failed to write anything. Every ticket I've received in the past, the officer has written the amount I was forced to pay for the violation. Is this a valid way to challenging the ticket in court?
Part 2 of the question is: I was speeding. I wasn't breaking the law that he actually wrote me a citation for. I know, he was trying to help me out on the cost by writing me up for something that cost less, but the fact of the matter is, that's not the law that I broke, and should not be punished for it. Can I bring this to court as an argument?

speeding ticket in florida?
I got a speeding ticket for going 70 on the turnpike, in a "posted zone" the cop said i was lucky workers werent there or it would have been put down as a construction zone. the sign said 40 mph. it went from 70 to 40 quicly. it was a 30 mile an hour transition. plus the sign that said 40 was nearly invisible with traffic, because it was really small. nobody else was going 40 so i didn't catch on, plus i saw a cop and if i knew i was speeding i would have slowed down. i have to go to court for this, what do you think will happen given the situation?
im not saying i didn't slow down cause nobody else didn't. i said nobody else was going 40 so i didn't know there was a speed limit change. he decided to stop me out of the hundreds of cars that were speeding too. don't be stupid

Florida Speeding Ticket?
I go to school in Florida but still maintain my residency in Georgia (my license is still GA). I got a speeding ticket the other night with the violation listed as "unlawful speeding (no speed indicated)." I was just wondering if that ticket would be reported to Georgia and if so, how many points that would be on license since there was no speed indicated and whether I could take a taffic school class here in Florida in order to reduce them. Also, since there was no speed indicated, would that my insurance go up?

RECKLESS SPEEDING TICKET?? SOMEONE HELP?!?
Last week, during spring break, my family and I were headed down to Florida, and we were driving. My dad got tired, and I had just gotten my license in November (I'm 16) so I took the wheel. We were headed south on I-95. The speed limit was 65, and I got clocked doing 81. I got a Reckless Driving Speeding Ticket and its my first offense ever. I really was just keeping up with traffic.
My parents are so dissappointed, even though they were in the car with ME and didn't mind how fast I was driving.
I don't want this to go on my record but I have no idea how to fight this?

so, i got a speeding ticket the other night. i was approaching a cop who was pulled over with someone else. the light just ahead was also turning red so i am slowing down. across the street another cop is pulling up to the red light also. when it turns green i go and he makes a u-turn and follows. he then proceeds to pull me over and tell me that before i slowed down for the light i was doing 64 in a 45! i was appalled because there is no way ANYONE in their right mind would be speeding while knowingly approaching a cop. he wouldn't even listen and proceeds to write me a 6 dollar ticket! if i fight it... what are my chances of winning because in Florida theres a court fee of 0 if you loose!

On June 6 I was pulled over by an officer and received a speeding ticket for going over the speed limit. I tried explaining that I had my speed on cruise control, but nonetheless still received a ticket. At the next stop light, I got pulled over again by the same officer. He asked me for the ticket and went back to his car to issue me a new ticket. I questioned his authority and all I received in response was, “It was a mistake.” So I asked to see the first ticket. The officer came back with the first ticket only to tear it in pieces saying, “I do apologize but it was a mistake.” Is that even legal? What can I do?

I got a speeding ticket and I need to pay it. The ticket is from the Florida Highway Patrol for 9 mph over the legal limit. I know I need to mail the ticket in and I have the adress, but I'm confused about how I pay. It says "Payment should be in the form of money order or a cashiers check". Then below that it says "Personal Checks are Accepted" and "Make payable to the Clerk of the County Court".
I'm confused. This means I can't send cash, right? But I can right a check. Right? But the thing is, I don't know who to make the check out to. I have no idea who the Clerk of the County Court is. I live in Santa Rosa county. Any help?
speeding ticket based on another cop radaring another vehicle?
So here I was all happy leaving the state of Florida and entering the state of Georgia, traveling at barely over 70mph on I-75 (max speed here is usually 70mph) when I looked at my rear view mirror and saw this red, blue, and white lights flashing on the cop car. I pulled over to the right shoulder, cop came up to me and asked for my license and registration followed by a "step out of the truck and follow me". So, he tells me the reason he stopped is because his partner radared a "black Mercedes" that was behind me (cant remember if he said behind me or in front of me, and obviously cant remember any "black Mercedes") and radar showed the Mercedes doing over 80mph so he didn't stopped the Mercedes, instead he chose to stop me. Now I'm sure I wasn't even going 5mph over the speed limit, but he tells me I was going over 80, I must add that I don't live in Georgia, I was on my way to north Alabama...about 10 hours from the place I was stopped at, and also I've been driving for 6 years now and this is the first time I've been stopped by the police....question is: Is it possible to beat this speeding ticket at all? and beat it without having to go all the way to the state of Georgia?

I just got a speeding. I was at 71 at a 60 highway. (I really thought it was 65, but anyways). The ticket is of 2. WTF? Why being 10 over the limit I get to pay almost 200 bucks? Last time I got a ticket for being 10 over the limit I paid . By the way, there were no workers on the highway.

The other day I got a speeding ticket. I was speeding, Im not going to try to deny it or anything. And actually the cop gave me a reduced fine and Im thankful that he did.
I was talking about it with my friend and he asked to look at the ticket. He noticed that the cop DID NOT write how fast I was going on the ticket all he wrote was speeding, and my signature wasnt on the carbon copy.
And this is weird, because I remember signing something.. I wonder what the heck I signed?!
I mean.. I have no intensions of fighting it.. Im just wondering since the cop didnt write the speed and I didnt actually sign the ticket?

Waiting over a year for a court date for a speeding ticket?
I got a speeding ticket in May of 2008 in the state of Florida. The guy was sitting in the middle of the road when I passed him and he stated I was doing 61 in a 45. ON this particular road there are 2 stop lights approx 400 ft apart and the one next to where the cop was, was green and the next one was red with 3 lanes of traffic starting to back up. There was no way I was doing this speed as I was in the far left lane slowing down to go to the gas station on the far right hand side. I pulled in the station and then he pulled out and turned his lights on. I asked him to see his radar and also asked him when it was calibrated. He said he did not have to show me till the court date. Also this is a direct quote "no one was going the speed limit" he stated. Its been over a year and I still have not received anything in the mail and everytime I call they say its still being processed. Is this an unreasonable amount of time to not receive a court date? Just incase I get something in the mail I want to be prepared.
