Hi, I'm 20F and I never got a speeding ticket before so I'm a little confused!!
I was going 75 in a 40 zone (yes yes stupid i know lol)
Can someone help me? Do I NEED to go to court? Can I plead guilty? If so, what do I do, how do I approach doing so?
Or should I just pay the ticket, and how many points is this, what is my penalty, what is going to happen? Also will this make my insurance go up?
If someone can help me and explain in detail what I am supposed to do and what will happen, I would appriciate it! Thanks!

I have a speeding ticket that I received while I was renting a car in NJ that I naively ignored until now... this is because I just received a Notice of Warrant for Arrest. I am specifically interested in my case, i.e. NJ-CA. I have a valid driving license in California and my questions are:
1) Is this warrant valid in California, i.e., can i get arrested here? (According to: http://www.carinsurance.com/kb/content20603.aspx since CA does not NRVC, the warrant is not honored in CA)
2) How many points will I get and I can beat the points by going to traffic school? (According to this, I get one point: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/vioptct.htm#oneoutofstate)
3) Will it affect my insurance?
Anything else that you think I should know will also be appreciated.

Got first speeding ticket in NJ. How do I get rid of it?
I was going 15 over, my first speeding ticket. I thought it was a 45, and was going 50, when it was really a 35. My own stupidity, I know. : /
My question is this: I know that in Florida you can take a defensive driving course and have that ticket wiped off of your record. Does the same apply in NJ? This is how my Dad got rid of his speeding ticket.
I know that you can also go to court and beg them to make it a lesser violation, so your insurance doesn't go up, but I really don't have the money to cover the court costs. I'm 18... I can barely afford my insurance and bills as it is!

Got a ticket avoiding an accident from an obvious drunk one. I know the courts wont care but how will I get out of this? I am still a provisional driver and can possibly lose my license. The cop who issued me the ticket claimed that he gave me 2 instead of 4 point ticket. Can he really do that? Court is in a few days, I have already pleaded not guilty hoping that he does not appear. Traffic Court Help with speeding ticket in NJ!?

I'm due in court in a few days in Hamilton, NJ for a speeding ticket issued a couple weeks before Christmas (Happy Holidays Statey!).
The state cop said he clocked me at 80 in the 65MPH area of 195 (yes, i know 195 is crawling with cops and honestly thought i was 70 or 75 at the most). I'm not sure if he cut me a break though with what he wrote on my ticekt.
He pointed out the one mile stretch of 55MPH before merging onto 295 (which is where he pulled me over as soon as i merged) and asked if i saw the sign which I said i didn't but didn't realize I was speeding. He ended up giving me a ticked for 75mph in a 55mph zone BUT checked off the 65mph zone box at the bottom of the ticket. Which is a better defense? Say I was going 75 in the 65 (doubled fines) or that i wasn't speeding that much in the 55mph zone (which I know i slowed down at because there was a huge boat in front of me)? He also wrote that it was PACING, not radar which he originally told me he clocked me with.
Speeding Ticket NJ?
I got a two point speeding ticket in Jersey, i am going to court but i was just wondering how much the total fine will be. I heard its 250 plus the ticket fine plus the 33 court fee? Do you really pay the fine for the ticket plus the 250?
NJ speeding ticket – will it hurt me to reschedule a court appearance?
I want to appear in court even though I am accepting responsibility because I want to at least try to protect my insurance, even if it means increased fines. I am 21 and have no previous violations. This violation is worth up to 4 points, for going 26 over the limit in a 35 zone. I plan to invest in a Defensive Driving Course approved by the state for - successful completion of it erases 2 points. Should I do this as soon as possible, or wait until after the court date?
I want to reschedule to about 40 days later, however, so I may avoid missing college classes. Do you think that is an acceptable reason to try to reschedule, and could it hurt my chances of the same outcome I would get if I went on my initial, unrequired appearance time? I already checked and they only hold court one day a week for this, so bringing it to mid-May would be only way for insuring missing no classes. Is there a chance rescheduling the initial date could essentially piss off officer and/or judge?

Literally 3 blocks from my house, I got stopped for going 32 in a 25 mph. I didn't ask to see the radar (probably should have) and told him I was a resident of the neighborhood and always drives very cafrefully.
I had speeding ticket problems in the past but have been clean for 7-8 years now. I always just paid them in the past, The one time I did try to fight it I had to pay anyway (this was in PA when I was going to school there).
I drive like an old lady generally now b/c I was sick of getting tickets in the past. This is so upsetting I've been so good for so long now...AND he gave it to me the day before my 31st birthday....Thanks Officer Poophead!

First speeding ticket in NJ, still have provisional license, but I’m 20.?
I just received my frist speeding ticket and I still have my provisional license. I'm away at school most of the year and don't usually drive, so I never got the regular license. Am I still considered a provisional driver even though I've had the license for almost 4 years? Will there be increased consequences? Also, since this is my first ever ticket, do you think the prosecutor will let me take a class as opposed to getting the points on my license?

I just got a ticket for going 72 in a 45 (27 miles over the speed limit). The back of the ticket only shows the fine for up to 24 mph. Does anyone know how much this ticket fine is? I'm going to go to court I suppose to try to plea it down, but I've already done this twice before and I think I heard somewhere you can only do this plea thing 2 times every five years...is that true?
NJ Speeding Ticket?
I live in New Jersey and am 17 years old. I received a speeding ticket a few weeks ago for going 93 in a 55. I know that what I have done in wrong and want to know if there would be any ways to reduce my points. What will happen when I go to court in a month? I am really scared and extremely sorry for what I have done. I have never done this before and will never be it again. I am also a very good kid in school. Please help me out by telling me what to do about this ticket and reducing points. I was also wondering if they could add stuff to my ticket after they issue it, for example in court. Not trying to make an excuse or anything but I was driving at 11:25 pm or so and the cop told me that I wasn't allowed to drive at this time either. Should I bring it up in court or just let it go? I am going to get a lawyer to help reduce points.
I already moved the court date back by a month and a half. I am using my dad's lawyer.
what excuse to give in the court for First time speeding ticket on Palisades Pkwy , NJ?
This is the first time speeding ticket I get, there was almost no body driving on the road except me, that was back in March this year, the officer who gave me the ticket said That I will get something in the mail to go to the court, I didn't get anything in the mail and I lost my ticket, can't find it no more .
I called the police and asked what shall I do, they give me the court phone number, I am about to call them now to see why I didn't get anything in the mail, and what happened to my case.
Probably I will go to the court, what excuse to give. I was driving on 74 MPH in 50MPH Zone. on the palisades parkway NJ.
Well, I called the court, they said I should have called earlier and that I supposed to go to the court on may 23rd, but the officer told me to wait till I get something in the mail, anyway, the lady on the phone told me I should have called to get their mail, she set me up for another date which is October 23rd and she said they will send me mail.
I wonder if they will charge me more fees, or penalty besides the ticket.

Speeding Ticket in NJ – What is EBTD?
I received a speeding ticket in NJ (80 in a 55). At the bottom of the ticket, it says that the equipment used was EBTD. What does this mean? Is it some type of radar equipment?
