The roads near my summer home mostly have a speed limit of 20 MPH. I can ride my bicycle at 30 MPH easily in some areas. I assume that speeding tickets can only be issued for motor vehicles. Do you know if police can ticket bicyclists for going too fast?

I live in a rural town and the road that is here is not marked at all. Now if I was going down the road 65 miles down the road, can an officer give me a speeding ticket even though there are no speed limit signs?

I had just passed the speed limit sign, which I did not see, and the speed limit had just dropped. I get pulled over for doing the previous speed limit and got a ticket for it. Is not seeing a speed limit change sign a viable excuse for fighting a ticket?

If a receive a speeding ticket and instead of reading "radar caught going 40 in 35" or something like that it reads "35 mph zone", could I contest it? It doesn’t tell me how fast I was going. I have all the time in the world, fighting a ticket will not cause me any frustration.
