Speeding Ticket in Nevada, Live in California. Traffic School?
Hi folks,
I received a speeding ticket while traveling through Nevada (), and I am a California resident (CA Drivers License). I would like to take traffic school so that the point does not go on my record. The problem is the Nevada court is telling me that they can only order Nevada residents to traffic school and that is not an option for me because I am a California resident. I told the court lady on the phone that I just want to take traffic school so the point does not go on my record, but she said I would have to take that up with California after Nevada forwards the speeding ticket information to them. I called the California DMV and they told me I would have to take it up with Nevada. Can anyone help me?

I fought a speeding ticket in a Los Angeles CA, Courthouse via Letter to court. They sent a response with a guilty verdict. I paid the fine and got the point. Is there still a way to get rid of the point? Maybe to plead for traffic school or something to that extent anyone know or done it?

The traffic school is more. This is my first ticket ever (I have been driving for over 25 yrs). Should I just pay the bail and forgo the traffic school, or is there some huge advantage to paying the extra and traffic school costs and time? How do points affect my driving record? Traffic School for Speeding ticket.?
I have received a citation with a bail amount of 2 and i need to take traffic school so my insurance will not be affected. On the citation there is a box to pay an additional for "Traffic School Information." I have already found an on-line traffic school (citationstation.com) so I don't really need information about traffic school. Is it necessary to pay this additional ?

court date's actually tomorrow morning, so it's too late to call and ask. I just paid the fine and signed up for traffic school today on the phone. Forgot to ask the clerk whether i still have to go to court though... i live in ca and the citation said the court appearance wasn't mandatory.

In september, I got a speeding ticket (first one). They told me it would not show up on insurance if I went to the driver safety course. I went to the course and thought it was gone forever. Just got insurance bill today, and it went up by 700$, which totals 3,500$ over the 3 years it will be raised for!!! (My insurance is Gieco, and I am 18 under my parents policy)

Sounds like a dumb ? but when I call the 888 683 4636 # number they ask for a S.S. #. The Luna Cty. Deputy never asked ask for it. I received a speeding ticket in Solano County (CA) for going 10 miles over the speed limit. My choices are to go to court or to go to traffic school. A friend had his speeding ticket dismissed when he went to court, because the police officer didn't show. However, he thinks that there is now a new law where the police officer has to be present. Does anyone have recent experience with this? I have a clean record and have the option of going to traffic school. I just don't want to have to pay the fine + traffic school costs.

I was wondering if I'm I eligible to go to traffic school? I have not gotten a ticket in over 2 years (traffic school cleared it) If I am not eligible, what can I do to plead for traffic school? Do I have to go to the arraignment and ask the judge for the chance of traffic school? Or is there a different process to do this?

Should I fight in Traffic Court OR GO to Traffic School for a Speeding Ticket?
I was pull over in a "speed trap" pass a down wered hill In San Diego, This Motor COP from Traffic Division said I was going 48 mph in a 30mph zone, however he wrote it as 40mph on my ticket and spelled my middle name wrong.
Should I fight This Traffic "Infraction" or go to a California Traffic School,
I am a criminal Justice major in college and i feel I was wrongfully cited in a low-income neighborhood where this cop only used radar gun to justify his citation.
What are your opinions and how should I fight this injustice!!
