Speeding Tickets Online Archives
I’m currently facing charges of "speeding" going 80 in a 65 zone on the 101. The cost of this ticket is 2, not including the extra cost of having the "privilege" of paying even more money and time for traffic school itself. There is also an additional charge if I make the payment online (I totally don’t get this, yes, it’s convenient for me to pay online so I have to be charged for that? Moreover, me paying online means I don’t waste public resources going into the courthouse to pay. By most logic I should be getting off for simply paying online. This actually irritates me more than the ticket itself as it’s the same thing bill collectors do, which are obviously greedy, but our government? Just another example of the government trying to hold us down.)
So anyway…
I can’t afford this, I’m going to school and am fighting to get my unemployment benefits back so my idea is to get an extension followed by a Trial By Declaration (I send in a letter pleading not guilty) and then if that fails go into court or suffer my loses.
Any thoughts? My main concern right now is the extension voiding out my option of a TBD and then the TBD ruling out my option of traffic school. Can anyone confirm or put this concern to rest?
Any advice would be much appreciated too, what to say on the TBD or other ideas on how to handle this as I not only cannot afford this (I’ve been using the same cell phone for five years that is broke, can barely make calls anymore, and eating 22 cent ramen packs with my last 4 semesters of school unpaid and can’t even afford books this semester, but yeah, the government is still aiming to rob me, most upsetting is the government robbing me of my time and money through jury duty and now they’re doing the same only money being their primary focus now).
A TBD works like a real trial. The thug who issued the fallacious charge must too send in a letter within 30 days or it counts as if him not showing up in court which therefore dismisses my charge. No?
The payment plans I’ve read come with an additional cost and are granted at the judge’s discretion and require my presence in court, no? After being coerced into jury duty I really have no desire to return to that archaic, draconian joke of a justice system unless to pay my ticket in pennies.
I’m not sure but I think I heard that traffic(speeding) ticket can be nullity by taking a Driver’s safety online course. Is that true?
If it is, can anybody let me know the sites?
I have only few days left to attend court. Thanks!
I found a site below http://www.idrivesafely.com/Washington
Is this right one for me?
i want to add some specific details about speeding tickets in my essay. i tried to look up on online, but i couldn’t get any info.
I need to take traffic school so it won’t count against my insurance, plus the ticket is totally bunk to start with!
If you know the answer, do you have any good suggestions for relatively painless online traffic schools?
I don’t expect to get the ticket dismissed, but in CA if you get a ticket you can take traffic school to prevent it from going on your DMV record and thus it doesn’t hurt your insurance.
Is this the case in WA as well?
I just got my first ticket going 80 in the carpool lane (65 speed limit). California I-5 North right between disneyland and angel stadium in anaheim. The court date is for september 24th but I go back east for college next week and wont be home again until december. Going to court isnt necessary is it? What would you guestimate the fine will be? Can I do online traffic school? Is it worth it? Anything else I should know? THANK YOU
I recently had a speeding ticket on the highway driving through ohio, i’m from michigan. The officer told me that I most likely wouldn’t get any points because I am from another state if i just paid online, and in turn admit fault. Has anyone had a smiliar experience? Should I pay it ASAP and hope I don’t get points or show up to court hoping that they will drop the points and make me pay a fine?
Just wondering if every state, or most had an online option such as this.
I just got an over speeding ticket in Texas (Collin county). I was driving at 84mph where posted limit was only 60mph.
This is my first violation. I am like 22+ years old (not a teen driver). However, I am not sure about how much I would be fined. I am planning to plead guilty (want to get this off this thing ASAP). I have never attended a driving school and again this is my first ticket. I have a few doubts
1. How much would I be fined
2. can i just pay the fine online and get rid of it (the ticket does not explicitly says that I can pay it online. It does mention that I have to meet a judge before Dec 30)
3. Can I ask for deferred disposition?
4. Can I ask for driving course?
5. Which would be better option…deferred disposotioon or driving course?
thanks
george
My driving license is also from texas only
Also, I was wondering that this will be considered as class C misdeamonor??
and I guess the judge will only fine me…not suspend my license or something? of course my insurance will go high
Thanks for the replies….Was just curious if I am eligible to get deferred disposition…heard that if I am speeding over a certain limit, then the judge might not give me deferred disposition
I would be pretty happy with defereed disposition. Also, is it possible that the judge does NOT award me deferred disposition, evem if I am eligible for that?
I have my court date for tomorrow and lost my speeding ticket.
Is there anyway that I can find out the information online as to where to go tomorrow or anyway to pay it tonight?
I live in California and got the ticket in the city of Roseville.
Thank you in advance! =D
I got a speeding ticket a month back, court date has gone by already. I have not been able to pay the ticket though. It gives me the option to pay online and when I do it tells me that the ticket number is not found.
I called the court today and they said they cannot find the ticket anywhere in their system. I also noticed that the cop wrote the wrong SSN on the ticket as well.
Guess this means I’m off the hook?
how much do u think my insurance will increase i don’t trust online quotes
I have filled out numerous online applications that have those annoying little 100 question questionnaires about your attitude and emotional state and what not like "You mostly feel sad all the time" Agree or Disagree etc. and I have never gotten a single call back when I applied. Am I doing something wrong?
I have no criminal records and I just have one speeding ticket that I still need to go to court for… I just don’t get it.
I got a speeding ticket awhile ago and I haven’t gotten the ticket in the mail, where can I look up the status online?
I got a California speeding ticket awhile ago and I haven’t gotten the ticket in the mail, where can I look up the status online?
Basically I want to verify to make sure the radar that the police officer used had been tested. How do i go about doing this process? I think I can do it online, like write a request letter or something.not too sure…Someone please help!!!!
I got a speeding ticket and i want to do the online course anyone who has done this before let me know
Yup you still gotta pay the ticket and its actually a little more expensive but if you take the traffic school they wont add a point to your driving record
do i have to show up to court? I don’t know what to do. I paid for the ticket online a couple weeks ago. This is in Indiana
so, i live in IL and i failed to show up for a court appearance for not paying a speeding ticket.
i checked the status of my case online and it said that "Ex Parte judgment is entered in the amount of .00 including court costs"
but my ticket was … so does that mean I JUST have to pay , and there is no consequence for missing court? or is this an ADDITIONAL and now I owe 0??
go up. But i have heard of some thing online you can do, does anyone know that web site? and if so what is it that i HAVE TO DO. 1.PAY THE TICKET 2. DO THE SCHOOL OR BACKWARDS 3.??? THIS IS MY FIRST TIME I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP.
also i heard that you can contested. if you do does the ticket go up. or does it stay the same. or what happends.
I received my first speeding ticket today for going 76 in a 60 zone on the freeway. First of all, I plan on signing up for traffic school to eliminate this offense from my driving record to make sure it doesn’t increase my insurance rate. If I sign up for traffic school online and receive a certificate before my court date, should I go to court and try to get my ticket lessened?
Also, I plan on completing the traffic school course online, so what do I do next to ensure that my insurance company knows I completed the course and have a clean record?
I got a speeding ticket in texas about a week ago. How long until it gets posted? I also heard from a friend that I don’t need to go to the court house at all that once it is posted I can just pay it online. Is that true? (10 over the speed limit)
About how much would my insurance increase?
I’m wondering cause I need take traffic school for a speeding ticket and I’m thinking of taking it online.
I received a speeding ticket. When I went online to look up my ticket (the city has a database where you can search for your ticket using different search queries), the ticket only shows up when I look up the citation number, and it shows my first name is wrong. When I typed in my last name and birthday, nothing. When I typed in my Driver License number, nothing shows up. So, my name only shows up using the ticket number. Should I worry and pay, or just ignore?
Ok, so I was speeding this morning at 7 AM on I-5 near Del Mar Heights Rd exit and got pulled over. The cop said I was going 94 but wrote me a ticket for 90 instead (so i can go to traffic school!). So now I’m worried because I’ve talked to a couple people and read some stuff online too saying that my ticket is going to be around like 0-0!! And I guess I just wanna know how much this ticket is going to cost me. Do they take into consideration where I was when I got pulled over and what time it was when calculating the cost?
how can I pay a speeding ticket in Cleveland/Lakewood, OH? can I pay it online? and someone told me if I went to the court to try discussing dropping it off they will charge me for that .. do courts charge us for going there to object on the ticket?
