Contesting a speeding ticket by a speed gun?

I worked for a guy 3 month and during those 3 month i did not have a driver licence therefore i had one of my friend to drive a van for me. I of the days i was at a friends wedding practice and during that day we hired the van to some1 who had been looking for a vanto rent just for a day.

He got stoped by a police officer with a speed gun goin over speed and gave my details. The officer did not check if the vehicle ws insuared, taxed, mot, drivers license, persons identification. so the person gave out my details.

According to the owner of the vehicle he gave a statement that i had the vehicle. I saw the ticket after a week looked for the person couldnt find him and i have contested my tickets that i was not the ones driving the vehicle and i have witnesses to prove it.

The guy who employed me did not have any documents to prove he employed me no my driving license detail and did not insure me on the vehicle. the case is on me now how do i get about to prove my case on my second hearing.
the officer did not ask for anything he was given a producer so he gave my date of birth, name and address

  1. just let the court know you didnt sign the ticket, take your drivers license with you to court or any other vaid document with your signature and show it as proof that the signature on the ticket doesnt match yours. You might also want to get a document with the other guys signature.

  2. So…your ‘friend’ just happened to know your name, birthday, license #, and address? And your ‘friend’ is physically indistinguishable from you?

Is that really the best story you can come up with?

If you feel your ticket is wrong fight it in court. If it’s correct, pay it.

  3. Always contest it. If the arresting officer is unable to be in court (as is often the case) it is dismissed.
