nope you can not

No, you can’t contest it. Most likely the medicine has some kind of warning about operating vehicle/machinery. If there is no warning, you can then sue the medicine company.

Your defense is that you were under the influence of a substance. In some states, that is a much more severe crime. The speeding laws are absolute and do not allow for the excuse you are presenting.

I wouldn’t have listened to your excuses either. Just man up and pay the ticket.

You are responsible for your vehicle and the speed it is going at all times. It is your fault you were speeding through the energy medicine. That is not an excuse to get out of the speeding ticket. Look at it this way. A person is speeding because they have been drinking alcohol. Can they use the excuse the alcohol was causing them to speed? No. They can’t. They would be charged with driving under the influence and as someone else already pointed out, you could be charged with that if the officer had known.
Also, tentoes is wrong in saying you can sue the energy medicine company because you were speeding. Extra energy does not mean extra speed. Also, the average person would know extra energy would result from energy medicine.

Sure. Contest the speeding ticket by telling them that you were DUI.
The officer doesn’t have to listen to your excuses. There are no valid excuses other than a "life or death" situation.
You risked the lives of countless other motorists and pedestrians, as well as yourself, by driving under the influence. You should have pulled over rather than driving faster. Bad choice on your part. Now grow up, take responsibility for your actions and pay the fine.
