My first speeding ticket, how much will this affect my insurance?

I got pulled over and got a ticket of about 277 dollars, the cop said i could talk to the prosecutor and he can lower the fine down as well as the demerit points, so if the fine does get lowered and i only went around 29km/h over the speed limit, how much can this affect my insurance rates?

    It depends on all kinds of factors, so this question is impossible to answer. Some insurance companies will give you a ‘freebie’ (ie your insurance won’t go up after your first claim or ticket). After receiving a few tickets over the years I’ve found that my insurance hasn’t been impacted at all.
