Suspended license and CDL training?

My driver's license was suspended about one year ago b/c I failed to pay a speeding ticket in the time allotted. That occurred in Florida, and I live in Alabama. Will this affect my going to truck driving school if that's the only thing on my record for the past 3-5 years. I'm only 23 so there is nothing before that. I started driving at 18.
For the record. My license is no longer suspended. My license was suspended in April of 2008 and reinstated in July of 2008. I neglected to mention that earlier.

  1. Yes you would. You won’t be able to get a license in AL due to that suspended license in FL due to "national driver register" that tracks all suspended / revoked licenses.

In fact, what are you driving on now? And did your truck school check it yet?
