  1. It is possible that if the DA’s office is cooperating with you, the court might grant a coram nobis petition. I’ve never seen or heard of it in traffic, but it may happen.

However, as you only have this one, last shot in a tricky area of law, be smart, spend the $400 and have an attorney do it, so it gets done right.

The reason you have to do the petition is that you did not do the "speeding ticket" in question right. Had you done so, you wouldn’t be in the fix you are now.

  2. Dude, forget it you are NOT getting coram nobis for a speeding ticket. PERIOD.
Coram nobis is available in EXTREME circumstances to people who were convicted and punished already.
For example Korematsu got coram nobis in 1983 after he served time for refusing to be deported to Japanese interment camp in 1940′.
Your case is NOWHERE near the scale of error needed for coram nobis, so forget it.

  3. A motion Coram Nobis (from the Latin "in our presence", usually translated in context as "the error before us") is a petition to the court in its capacity of a Court of Equity to correct a previous error "of the most fundamental character" to "achieve justice" where "no other remedy" is available.

Your chances of getting a coram nobis for speeding tickets is extremely remote to nil.

  4. What you need is what is called RDP restricted driving priveledges. This is something that can be done thru the STate you reside in. The state can issue you a license to go to work and home. If you’re a teenager….and you’ve had 3 speeders you might as well forget getting your license back.
