  1. Go to the traffic court office and they will have a record of . If you ignore it then a warrant will be issued for your arrest.

  2. (not really) as in you didn’t speed?
If that’s what you’re saying, you might want to lose that line right now.

Call the court or the department that issued the ticket.
Also, your dad will find out….you might as well let him know.

  3. start out by telling your parents, they will find out.

  4. Call the court that you received the ticket from and give them the date you got the ticket. They have a copy that hte officer gave them and should be able to look it up in their records. You should also be receiving some sort of mail correspondence from the court for you date.

  5. He will find out, you’re better off having him find out from you than somewhere else. But, as general advice… Always plead not guilty. The prosecutor will almost always offer you a lesser ticket in exchange for a guilty plea.

As for paying for it, I would call the court, find out the date to show up in court… (it’s only to plead guilty or not guilty). Go and do what you need to do. If you plead guilty, they will have you pay by a certain date… If you just send in your money, they automatically enter your plea as guilty.

  6. Quick!

Run out and do some speeding. You can use the info off your next ticket to find out what to do about the first one.

Please go to court and fight the ticket. Don’t roll over.
A large percentage of tickets are dismissed.

  7. Every person who gets a ticket gets a letter in the mail informing them of the court date and bail amount. If your dad doesnt know then he will unless you intercept that court letter… Be there to the mail box first!!!

A speeding ticket – first time offender can get the citation wiped off your record if you go to traffic school (8 hour course in class but you can probably complete in less than half the time on line). Insurance companies will not find out… There will be fines associated with the ticket and traffic school costs ($25 or so plus $10 for certificate?)

A speeding ticket in excess of 30 MPH – you will not be eligible to attend and that will be on your driving record for 3 years.

If you dont have the money to pay, you might be eligible to do community service. Call your local courts and have them transfer you to the Traffic Division. They will tell you what your bail might be for the ticket and actual date you have to appear.

Try to obey all laws. You might want to speed to get you from point A to point B to shed time but the most important part is to get there safely. Driving is a privelege not an honor.

Good luck to you and drive safely!

  8. They will issue a warant for your arrest if you miss court. I think I would tell dad or keep our toothbrush with you, because you won’t be coming home if they catch you.
