Help!!!! How do you get points removed from a speeding ticket?
I am 18 and i had a clean driving record. Until one day a bratty cop decided to park in the library in an undercover cop car. He pulled me over for going 35 through the village of hartland and its 25. What makes it worse is that it was only 25 for maybe 100 ft. I told him that i wasn't driving my own car and wasn't use to the pull of the car. I didn't cry either. I was really mature about it and he still gave me the ticket. It only took him three minutes to write me the ticket too. SInce when does it take 3 minutes. I was on my way to school. All of my friends get warnings. My shady ex boyfriend gets warnings. I cant afford two points on my license. I tried fighting the ticket by saying i was guilty with explanation. Still didn't work. No mercy. I just want the points off. and tell me what you think about the situation too.
by the way don't speed. because in michigan cops just write you a ticket for anything.
It was a livingston county sheriff .
they should make a commercial like they did for the "click it or ticket no matter what"

just wait 3 years.. then the points will drop off. Some states do offer classes where by taking them (like drivers ed etc) you can get points removed. Call and ask the DMV

Amazing. You should be allowed to break the law because it was only 100 feet and it wasn’t your car. You were whining llike the biggest baby ever. And you have the nerve to refer to the cop as "bratty" and all he’s doing is his job. You’re breaking the law.
And if you fought it already, you’re done. There is nothing you can do. It’s on your record. You could have just paid it and went to traffic school and the points wouldn’t be on your record. But you already fought it and lost, end of story. You’re done. Enjoy the points and learn from your mistakes and quit whining.

That isn’t a cop being bratty…..that is you being ignorant and thinking that your asinine excuses are reason enough to speed/get out of a ticket.
It’s really ironic/hypocritical that you’re calling the police officer "bratty"
I think that you completely deserve the punishment, and I hope you learn that speeding is illegal…even if it was only 25 for 100ft
or if you aren’t driving your own car.
If you can’t figure out basic traffic laws/signs, and/or how to control the speed of the car you’re driving, you probably shouldn’t be driving.
Honestly…..if all of your friends and all of the other people you mentioned have gotten away with warnings, and you/them still drive however you want….what sense does it make for the officers to keep issuing warnings?
It’s probably time you all learn that breaking laws comes with consequences.
I also highly doubt, based on this question and details, that you were mature.
I honestly am not just answering to be mean…..I just believe in being 100% honest when people ask for an opinion.
Drive legally for the next few years and the points will go away.
After that, continue driving legally and you won’t get any more points.
