speeding ticket???
yesturday i got a speeding ticket i was doing 90 mph in a 55mph zone the cop also gave me a careless driving ticket. i had heard that it u are doin 25 or more over the speed limit u get ur license suspended......i live in NJ......is it true?
this sucks im only 19 and i need my license because of my job if i go to court do u think that they may take the points off and just get a fine?

When you go to court, if they do take your license (likely) ask about the possibility of a restricted license to get you to work and back only, that is a possibility. That’s providing you can still afford to drive after the increase you will see in your insurance rates now.

Yea its like that mostly everywhere in the US since you were going almost double the speed then that is going to be even worse

Hopefully. Next time, slow down. What would you have done if someone was crossing the road and you hit them cause you couldn’t slow down in time?

You are going to lose points and pay a big fine. You can get a traffic lawyer to reduce the charge and maybe not lose points but you will most likely have to go to a defensive driving course and not get another ticket for 12 months. You will still have to pay a big fine but you may not lose points and may be able to keep it off your record so your insurance doesnt go up. If anything see if the lawyer can get the C&I reduce because that is the sober mans equivalent to a DWI. That will stay on your record for five years and your insurance will skyrocket.

Yes, they can suspend your license and if you need it so bad then you shouldn’t be doing reckless crap like doing 90 in a 55.

Dude 90 in a 55 is just dumb..If you wanna speed take it on the highway .You received a careless driving ticket becuase you were either speeding around businesesses or neighborhoods. Ive been caught doing 105 on a 75 but it was oN the HWY so he just gave me the ticket..Its your 1st offense and make sure you let the judge know you have a job, your fine will be 200 or more and the judge will probably make you feel bad by letting you know you could have hurt yourself or others but thats about it….They can take youR liscense BUT ITS HIGHLY UNLIKELY JUST DONT WALK IN THERE WITH YOUR PANTS SAGGIN TALKING THAT YO YO YO CRAP
