Speeding fine – Do I have a case?
I received a speeding fine with the officer telling me that the speed was recorded from an aircraft.
The officer only asked for my license and not my registration.
On the ticket it says I drive an 1988 Chev (Blue) Pickup Truck.
I drive a 1994 Ford (White) Pickup Truck.
The Vehicle License Number is also wrong on the ticket.
I signed the citation just to avoid any further problems to only read about this when I got home.
Please let me know if you think I have a case.

In this case, you probably do have a case.
The airplane would only be able to see that the speeding vehicle was Blue, a pickup truck and a Chevy.
The officer stopped a White Ford Pickup.
Seems like a case of mistaken identity to me. You might have been speeding, but those are two completely different vehicles.
If signing the ticket is admitting guilt, there is usually a procedure for changing your plea. Call the court that has jurisdiction and ask them how to do this.
All bets are off if you were driving a white chevy pickup that day. Don’t ever lie to a judge.

Yes, indeed you do. Had it just been a number off on the year of a number wrong on the VIN then the answer would be no, but based on the fact that he couldnt even tell you what you were driving kind of shows that he pulled over the wrong vehicle.

Nope, the vehicle information has very little bearing on the citation. Administrative errors can be amended at anytime by the officer or the court.
The fact that you signed the citation is proof enough that it was indeed you that was cited.

You can try to saying that the officer stopped the wrong truck, but it may not work.

you could show up in court on the day assigned and plead your case in front of a judge. But you will have to claim it wasn’t you, which would be fibbing. The judge may assume you were driving someone else’s truck, not yours and will ask you about it, too. You have a good case if you don’t have to lie. And it’s also possible the cop won’t show up for court, but if he does, and he says, "i gave a ticket to this guy here", well, like rickey used to say "luuuuucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do". Good luck–and don’t do more than 5 mph over the speed limit and you’ll cut your chances of getting another ticket for speeding.
