Why does everyone complain about getting Speeding tickets?
The White Speeding Signs with the Speed numbers listed on the highways and roads, and interstates, are showing us the MAXIMUM Speed allowed by the law, not the Officers. They Officers uphold the laws, just like the Military does not tell their comanders they dont want to fight, they do it, they took the oath to uphold the constitution. We have the choice as Drivers as to weather we want to break the laws we learned and that are posted. If we go through a red light or stop sign, then we broke the law, if we speed any numbers over what is posted, then we broke the law, If we dont have our seat belts on, then we broke the laws, If we dont turn on our turn signals or cross over a solid white line to change lanes, then we are breaking the laws A solid White line is to be treated as a Solid Wall or barier and not using your signals will leave you possibly at fault in incodents as you are not letting anyone else know your intentions of changing lanes or turning off. So Quit complaining

I agree for with what you are saying about people deliberatly breaking the law. But there are cases where signs are hidden behind trees/bushes, if you’re running very late, etc… But yes, people shouldnt complain about it; the rules are there to keep us safe so we should try are hardest to fallow them.

so was that really a question or a rant? people complain because they get caught and because it cost money to pay for traffic tickets … were they wrong, yes of course…

People complain because it’s human nature to complain about anything that does not suit them.
Speed laws like many other laws are man made laws that try to govern and control the mass populous. I do agree that laws are there to protect and maintain order but some laws are not the end all and be all. Speed laws like 55MPH or even 65MPH is a speed that a bunch of old cronies got together and said it was a speed that should be maximum allowed on the freeway. Personally I think speed laws should be posted according to the situation of the area. Meaning a common speed limit should be posted but according to the situation at hand should be a determination on the speed limit. Like say if you are in traffic with alot of car around the posted speed limit should be followed but if you are on the open road with hardly anyone around you, I don’t see why you couldn’t speed like 80+ MPH.

Because many speed limits make no sense, and those are the ones that are the most aggresively patrolled and enforced while murderers and rapists go free because cops are scared of ghetto areas and would rather pull over more peaceful people because it makes them more money and is less dangerous.

If you do the crime
You pay the fine
And think yourself lucky you didn’t cause an accident
July 27th, 2009 - 17:02
Are you ranting on why people rant?
Yes it sucks when we get caught and we want to blame others rather than ourselves.
July 27th, 2009 - 17:02
Very good point.
Every driver speeds at some time or another, but some are caught more than others because they are more negligent.
It is these drivers who get citation after citation.
If someone is going to speed thereby committing a crime, then they must be man or woman enough to accept the penalty associated with it.

You would think common sence would stop people from speeding. For the people who get caught sorry about your luck.Sence speeding causes more and more death on the roads every year.It would be nice for speeders to spend some time in jail than just pay a ticket.Maybe this would help save lives on the roads.Best of luck.
