2 speeding tickets in a school zone within 3 months!?
My boyfriend (20 years old) got a speeding ticket [in a school zone] in September, he hired an attorney (paid 200 bucks!) & got it dismissed however, he had to take a defensive driving course (of course) and was placed on probation until January 25, 2010... because he is not a good driver (lol!) he got ANOTHER ticket for the exact same thing this past week! Another 6.00 ticket! He says he had no idea it was even a school zone but the police officer was very strict.
I was wondering what is going to happen now? Since he was on probation from the last speeding in a school zone ticket. Is there any way he could still get this one dismissed if he pleads not guilty? Should we call that attorney back & let him know he got another ticket? Is there anything he can do for it not to be put on his record & raise our insurance!?
I really appreciate your advice!

Your boyfriend is a moron and should have his license taken away before he kills someone’s child.
With that said your boyfriend is in for a world of hurt. He’s violated his probation doing the same thing that got him there. What do you think the judge will do?
Unless somehow this second ticket is dismissed (highly unlikely to impossible) then both offenses will show up on his record. When that happens his insurance company will find out and if he thinks his rates are high now just wait!

better hire that laywer again it looks like he may loose his licence or get a big fine and a restricted licence. and his insurance will go sky high.

1. If he was on probation for the first ticket, it hadn’t been dismissed. Since he violated the terms of his probation, he’ll be deemed guilty by the court.
2. He has no options on the second citation. He’s not eligible for DDC and other options are eliminated because he was on probation.
