if a sppeding ticket was dropped due to nol-pros shoud it pop up on my mvr?
i got a speeding ticket in jan, in may my attorney said that it was sent before the judge as nol-pros and he approved, i had an mvr ran 2 months ago and it wasnt on there but another one was ran today and it is

The quick answer to your question is "Yes."
"Nolle prosequi" means "to abandon a suit or prosecution; to have a case dismissed by nolle prosequi." Even though you weren’t prosecuted, an arrest or violation is still recorded on your motor vehicle record. That can’t be used against you in a court or administrative hearing– like as a reason to revoke your CDL– but law enforcement personnel know that you’ve been ticketed for it in the past (and are unlikely to give you a warning or another nol-pros in the future for the same thing).
Of course, nolle prosequi is most often used by the prosecution when there are other, more serious charges that are easier to prove and when the whole would probably end up in concurrent sentencing anyway…. The nol-pros won’t, of course, hide the other plea….
