How To Beat A Speeding Ticket Avoiding, Contesting and Beating Speeding Tickets

Speeding ticket and need help to reduce the fine.?

I was caught speeding at 75mph on 65mph limit on my motorcycle. The ticket amount says 0. I’m a student and can’t afford that fine and wondering if I can request someone to reduce that fine. This is my first ever traffic ticket though.
I don’t wanna fight that ticket (I know I wasn’t going less than 65mph) but I want to appear in court without jeopardizing the traffic school option. Only and only to reduce that fine. If I pay online then I had to pay the entire amount and (I heard) if I appear in court then judge might not allow me to attend traffic school (if found guilty).
Do you think I should take my chance by selecting “Appear in court” option?
I got the ticket near Crompton, CA. I was going on highway 91.

  1. Go to court, plead guilty and request a payment plan for the fine.

  2. Yes appear in court, but wear swim fins, goggles, and a scuba diving breathing tube. Then whip out your balls and lay them on the table. Then just say, you know what? My balls just told me that you should reduce the size of the fine…

    And they should.

  3. You fail to mention the state. I know in California you can pay by mail and get a 15% discount. I left a few years ago so if it changed oh well. You can always go to the court and ask for community service due to not having any money. Here in my area where I live now, you can do a few weekends in jail. Only problem is you bunk with the real criminals.

  4. A 10mph over ticket isn’t bad at all, I have no idea why California would gouge the ticket so much for. My fine in KY was 203 for going 85 in 55, granted the officer put 85 but in reality is was 97. I called to get the amount, and when I went and paid she offered that I take the traffic school option. Which had me spending under 120 dollars. I’m still pending the letter for the classes and I had to pay 15 dollars to enroll in the class.

I would call what ever number that was on the violation, and ask as many questions as possible. What options they would give you to reduce the fine and in turn taking some course. Personally, I would go in front of the judge, plead guilty, not lie, and be respectful. Of course there is no guarantee that he would drop or reduce the fine. And you would still have court costs on top of the fine. So it would be your call. Whatever they have that would get you spending the least amount of money the better. So call first, check out all your options, and if not consider court but carefully weigh the pros and cons.

I wish I could give you better advice but it would be a gamble. If I told you to go ahead and fight in court you would be out much more than 270 dollars. I wouldn’t want to put you in a bigger bind than what you are in by rambling on about stuff I know nothing about. So good luck and I hope this situation goes in your favor. It’s unfair they would gouge you on the fine so much by being so little over the limit.
