Speeding ticket in Idaho = traffic school in CA?
I have a California driver’s license, and while on a road trip, I received a speeding ticket in a small town in Idaho. It’s an infraction and says that I can pay off the by mail without showing up in court. But do I need to sign up for traffic school for this?

Paying the $75 won’t mean you have to go to traffic school. But if you want to to avoid points on your license (and thus higher insurance rates) that would probably be a good decision.
Be careful about going to traffic school in one state for a ticket you got in another state. I got a ticket in MO and asked if I could go to traffic school in IL. “Sure!” they said. So I did. Afterwards they said “Oh, no…we don’t count traffic school taken in Illinois, because theirs is only 4 hours and we require 8.” So I went and looked at those gory movies they make you watch for nothing. Bah.
