I pleaded guilty for a speeding ticket and paid it online. What can I do now if I want to plead not guilty?
I was going 80 in a 55 zone. I just paid it online. People are telling me I should have fought it. Can anything be done now? Its a big fine and a lot of points. HELP!

I pleaded guilty at first because it was my first ticket and I was afraid to tell my parents. I knew that if I had pleaded NOT guilty than the court hearing would go to my house and they would find out. I decided to tell them. So now they know but I paid it off already. So I wanted to plead not guilty now

Consider this when confronted with another ticket…
This one is pretty much settled…

You will have to ask the court for permission to withdraw your guilty plea. Expect a "NO".

Paying the fine is an admission of guilt.I don't think you can change that statement. You can try to call the clerk of courts but the case is closed.IDK maybe they'll re-open it.

Too late, case closed.

Well, I am not an attorney, and I do not know what state you live in.
I think once you pled guilty, that would pretty much end the issue right there. You might want to check with an attorney.
You never said WHY you pled guilty and WHY you want to now plead not-guilty. Maybe a lawyer can obtain through a compassionate judge a review of your case, or maybe your local attorney general at the court level you pled guilty to would review your case. In either case, it requires subpoenaing the officer who wrote the ticket. But then, perhaps you FINALIZED your case by paying the fine~!
You need advice from an attorney, not ignorant opinions like mine from here in the peanut gallery.

what makes you think fighting a 25mph over the speed limit ticket will solve anything, you can't dispute the fact that you were only over the limit by a few miles anyway. Let it go, it is the past now. You would be denied the right to fight or change your plea at this point.

Well you lucked out. In most states 20 or 25 over is a reckless driving and you have to appear in court.
Even if you had gone to court there is virtually no way to explain away 25 over. 10 or 15? Maybe. 25? Forget it.
You did not have a judge pronounce you guilty…you did so yourself by paying. So when it comes down to it you can't go back to court and appeal your own judgement. Well you could with an expensive lawyer but it still probably would not work out.
By the way. If you are on your parent's insurance at some point they will find out.
