I’ve been living in the Fort Lauderdale area in Florida for almost 5 months now, and before I lived in Michigan. While living there, I got 2 speeding (10 miles/hr over) tickets and paid them right away…but I got stuck with points in my driving record and I can’t get a decent insurance rate now. I’ve heard of a course that you can take to reduce/get rid of those points. Does anybody know about this course and if so, do they have it in south Florida?

Thanks!

I got a speeding ticket for going 45 on 30. When I went to the court on the due date, the lady in the counter asked me whether I am guilty or not. She said that the answer should only be given in Yes or No, no justification is required. I answer yes but I also said that the car’s speed increased because I was going downhill and my foot wasn’t on the gas. That bitch only listened Yes, nothing else. After that she said I can go and fine will come in the mail. I didnt get any chance to negotiate or talk to the judge.
So, today I got a letter that I have to pay 5 (0 fine + subcharge)…..

On the other hand same thing happened to my dad 5 months ago, the only difference is that he was going 55 on 30, he got chance to talk to the judge and his fine was . Also there was 7-8 miles difference in distance where my dad went to he court and where I went.

Do you think it is right ??
When I went to the court, the clerk said that speeding cases are deal with this way and cases which involve DUI/DWI etc get chance to talk to the judge

I have about 2 speeding tickets that i know of on my record but a total of about 7 violations.

One of my speeding tickets was a 6mph over the limit of 55 and the other ticket was on new years eve for 85 in a 60 i believe the latest ticket was just 5 months ago.

well I turned 22 this past january and I want to try OTR driving etc.

My problem is do you think anyone would hire me even if i had the cdl or are my speeding tickets toooo bad?

My other violations are minor like no front license plate, no seat belt, and i believe 2 years ago 1 ticket for no insurance(my ins. expired the day before i was stopped).

one company i tired to apply for so they could sponsor my school denied me because of the tickets

I’m wondering is there any other way though?
Btw I don’t have any felonies and never been arrested etc.

so i got a speeding ticket 2 weeks ago…it finally came in the mail today, my parents want to go to court but im saying that we should just pay the fine because i am not eligible for traffic school since i did it for my last ticket, and i am only eligible for it after 6 months of taking the course. so what do you guys think? go to court or just pay the fine? I’m gonna be honest i was speeding so whats the point of going and paying court fees plus the ticket? I’m not gonna go to court and say i wasn’t guilty, and it will be a waste of time going to say I’m guilty when i can pay the fine and admit guilt..so what to do?
-im in California

Hi i am Jimmy from Florida, I got a traffic ticket 5 months back because of over speed driving. Now can i take any advanced driver improvement course to remove my 5 months back traffic ticket. Please suggest me any Advanced Driver Improvement Courses that are available in Online from Florida, which can help me in removing my traffic ticket for low prices.

I got a speeding ticket in Sandy Springs (Fulton county). I forgot to pay it– no real reason, it just completely slipped my mind. It was supposed to be paid by 8/14; it’s now 8/19. I called the office but it’s after hours and I tried to pay online but it’s not coming up (I guess since it’s overdue).

On the ticket it says your license is automatically suspended if you don’t pay in time. It doesn’t say anything about a warrant or increased fines. I have a couple of questions:

1. When your license is suspended, do you get it back when you pay the ticket or is it suspended for a set amount of time?

2. How much can I expect to pay for this? I got a ticket in Dekalb county a few months ago for an incomplete stop and paid a whooping 5.

3. Complicating the issue is the fact that I’ve lived in Atlanta for 2.5 months now and have yet to get a GA license. I know that’s bad, but it took me forever to find the right documents to switch it over. How could this potentially impact the situation?

Sorry this is long, but I’m freaking out, especially since I just got hired for a new job and signed a background check waiver. I doubt they’ll rescind the offer, but it won’t look good if there’s a warrant out for my arrest.

Thanks!

Hi, my license has been recently revoked after getting 3 speeding tickets. I am about to pay for the 3rd speeding ticket I received in March of this year.

Would it be possible for me to take traffic school 1.5 months after getting the speeding ticket? If I do take traffic school, will my license still be revoked or will I get it back?

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help out.

I’m from Illinois.

Thanks,

Dan

I got 2 speeding tickets in central CA, about 5 months ago. I didn’t go to court, and they sent me a couple notices. I’m afraid to go in now, but I know I need to do soemthing or I will eventualy get caught. I jsut want to know what will happen when i go in. I’m seriously scared of going to jail. I’ve never been in trouble with the law in my entire life. In fact those speeding tickets were the first time i’ve ever even been pulled over. Someone please help :s
this is in Lemoore, CA

I live in New York. I am 18 and have had my license for 1 year and 2.5 months. I got a speeding ticket for going 53 in a 35. I know I was 42-44 but I realize that this doesn’t matter.

I’ve read online that its very easy to beat a ticket but they never fully tell you how unless you pay 26.99 for and eBook or something. I’ve also found a company called Ticket Tutor that actually looks very professional and legitamite. Should I go with Ticket Tutor???

I’ve read that in the court appaearance you should ask the officer for certain documents that they rarely have. Do you know what documents these are so I don’t have to pay 30$ ?
They want you to just pay it so that way your insurance goes up! Who do you think pays for all the radar guns? the insurance companies do!

Going to court will most likely get it moved to a non-moving violation which wont effect insurance.
Also, where are you guys getting 30$ from for the fine?

Speeding ticket within 5 months of each other. I already attended traffic school for the first one. I don’t want my insurance to go up…help…if any officers around please help…I learned my leason….= (

I am planning to get a Car and wanted to reduce my auto insurance.

5 Months back I received a speeding ticket on a rented car. And I was driving with an International license. I will be getting an ontario G2 license soon. Just wanted to know whether I should claim that I had a speeding ticket to the auto insurance company, i.e. will it show on my record cause it was on an international license plus it was a rental car.
