I got a ticket in Athens, GA coming home from work, the cops was at the bottom of a hill and at 10:45pm at night with no lights on! Isn’t that illegal for them to be at the bottom of the hill and especially with no lights at night? I thought it was state law that anytime a car is occupied at night along a hwy or street, there should be parking or marking lights on, or hazards. I am just building my case to fight the speed trap!
I just received my very first ticket today. It was for speeding and I was clocked going 59 at a 50 zone. I feel so bad because I normally never speed, I was driving my brother’s car, since mine was in the shop, and he drives a sporty car so i wasn’t used to it. I was going down a steep hill and the officer was at the bottom of the hill. I know I was at fault and speeding is wrong, but I’m also human and stuck in a finantial situation. What ways can I go about reducing the fee (if possible) or not getting it on my records. I am a student and highly in dept with tuition and this is so stressful. I live in southern california if that makes a difference. thanks so much for any advice.
i was also pondering, are there any loopholes i can try to drop the ticket? what if i show up in court and the officer doesn’t show up. my court time is at 7am on a friday. omg i’m starting to stress out so much i can’t study for midterms.
I was driving down a hill into a small town in Michigan a few weeks ago. There are signs which say 25 mph and hill braking required. There were 3 cars in front of me. I checked my speed and was braking at 25mph.
There was a police officer wayyyy down at the bottom of the hill in the opposite/oncoming lane before the main intersection.
I was pulled over on the second last day of the month and told I was going over 40 mph but the officer only gave me 5 over with no points.
My husband was driving the car in front of me, and he was braking at 28 mph. Had I been driving over 40 would I not have ended up with my bumper in his backseat?
I have scheduled an informal hearing. Do I have a snowball’s chance in hell?
0 is a lot of groceries.
Also the officer wrote the wrong address on my ticket. Is that significant?
