I am not bothered for my license getting cancelled because I am using my national DL. Should I bother appearing in court & settling the fine amount. I will leave the country in about a month. Will it effect my immigration/Visa processing during any next visit.
What will be the fine amount for 20mph over speed?

I Lost my DL the other night and I really need it cause I am on unemployment, I have to have it to find a job and to cash my checks. It was about to expire in March anyway, so it’s fine but I have an unpaid ticket and I’m afraid when I go in to get my DL I’ll get arrested or something. I’m sure they will only be able to give me an ID instead but… I just want to know what is going to happen when I go into the DMV tomorrow. Please help!

I was falling 2 auto a white 1 and a red 1. Cop turnes his lights on b4 he got 2 the 1st auto. So, I am just falling them about 5 car leighs behind the 2nd. 1. I see the cop is behind me so I am getting over thinking he is going 2 stop the #2 car 4 falling 2 close. He pulls in behind me and ask me 2 c my dl and ask me about my grandson sitting next 2 me say’n he was standing up (which he was in a car seat) and I told him he was. He said it look like he was standing. So, he as 4 my auto ins. and I ask how fast was the other cars in front of me going and he said "45". Then he goes back 2 his car (He wasn’t nice talking either) So, he comes back and say’s he thinks my Grandson was standing up (again) I told him he wasn’t and he says he is giving me a ticket for going 55 in a 35. I told him I couldn’t have been going that fast and I was just falling the cars in front of me and he says "No, you where try’n 2 catch up 2 the other cars and I said no I wasn’t and how fast was the other cars going and he said it didn’t matter how fast they where going that I was try’n 2 catch up w/them.
So, my sister was w/me all so and just told me 2 take the ticket and fight it in court. So, what should I do? Go get an attorney or what bcs. I do know I wasn’t going 55 in a 35, it wasn’t even 35 when I seen him and I wonder if he got the wrong auto. or if it was just that my grandson had pushed himself up enough 2 see the sunsetting (bcs. my sister said look at the sun and he leaned up 2 see it and the police seen him at that point. I just don’t know what 2 do? Help

If you have a Floriday DL and you get a ticket in California and it’s for exibition of speed and is a midemenor, does it get reported back to Florida and does Florida recognize it as a midemenor?

i got a speeding ticket last night around 1 am in the highway for speeding the same speed as the police patrol. i was driving 75 on a 55 mph highway. the poilce car was about 0.5 mile in front of me and i was going same speed as him. since i was behind him i knew that he probably wouldnt radar me. when i catched up to him i started slowing down and eventually he slowed down too. when i was behind him we were both going 55mph, and i was in cruise control for about 1.5 minutes until he decided to be behind me and followed me for an additional 15 sec when he decided to turn the lights and pulled me. when i pulled over, he asked my that why was i being smart, why was i speeding and then decided to be smart with him and slow dwn when i saw him. i didnt say nothing the whole time other than saying sorry. as usual, he asked for a license and card insurance got to his car and wrote a ticket. on the ticket it says i was caught speeding with a radar going 75 mph which is 20mph over the limit.. i am very concern and already sent the ticket to plea not guilty because i cannot afford another ticket bcause my DL will be suspended. i know i did wrong in speeding and regret it. as anybody been through this problem before, and if so did u appeal it in court? do i have any chances? i just hope the cop doesnt show.. can i request court supervision?

i have gotten 3 speeding tickets and 1 failure to come to a complete stop in colorado over the past 7 years. i got one speeding ticket in new mexico in 2007 and just recently got a speeding ticket in texas in 2009. all of my violations have been on my colorado license. i am visiting relatives in texas and debating moving here which would require a texas license.
will my previous speeding tickets from colo and nm on my colorado license count on new texas license?
will my texas speeding ticket that i got on my colorado license count on my new texas license?
if i get an insurance quote in colorado with my colorado dl, which violations will show up?
if i get an insurance quote in texas with a texas dl, which violations will show up?
i also have accidents from all three states on my colorado license (i wasn’t at fault in any of them), which of those will show up on quotes in texas and in colorado?

so I received a warning for speeding, and the expired DL is under the "violations box" all I know is I received a warning and to contact the judge in county I was stop at. But what about the expired DL under violations what does that mean??! help me understand this better.
I just want to understand all this is confusing to me.

I have a Georgia DL and got a speeding ticket in NJ 2 years ago. I was wondering if it transfers to my GA DL and if so how many points and how long until they go away. Thanks!

The check that I’ve sent does not have a duplicate and can’t prove that I’ve sent the payment. I don’t want to get a bad record on my DL. The traffic violation happend a mont ago in Chicago and I’ve sent the payment the very next day. I didn’t get any response and I’m afraid not to wreak my record. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciate it.

I was just curious to know if the ticket was valid if the city on the citation doesnt match the city on my DL. The city says Del Aire,CA on my license it says Inglewood, CA? Thanks!

I am from out of state with out of state DL on a rental car. Got pulled over for speeding (62 on 35 mph, Farm road). My licence is a Tx licence and I was pulled over in New Jersey. Do I need a lawyer or I can fight that myself since this is my first ticket after seven years. I am not sure how the point system works on a different state licence. I never been to the court for speeding ticket and not sure how to approach it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a speeding ticket that I received while I was renting a car in NJ that I naively ignored until now… this is because I just received a Notice of Warrant for Arrest. I am specifically interested in my case, i.e. NJ-CA. I have a valid driving license in California and my questions are:

1) Is this warrant valid in California, i.e., can i get arrested here? (According to: http://www.carinsurance.com/kb/content20603.aspx since CA does not NRVC, the warrant is not honored in CA)
2) How many points will I get and I can beat the points by going to traffic school? (According to this, I get one point: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/vioptct.htm#oneoutofstate)
3) Will it affect my insurance?

I got this ticket in Arkansas….i live in illinois. The address on my license is an Arkansas one – my parents. After losing the ticket i thought i would just wait on the usual letter saying i didnt pay and i didnt appear in court..and so on. This is something my parents would NOT overlook….they would have flipped out– So I am sure that a letter like that has not been recieved…. (not saying it wasnt sent) Maybe there was a mix up or something. So I was thinking of just forgetting about it. Probably not a good idea?? ? How do I go about finding out what to do— I want to just pay whatever it is on-line. What search do you think would put me in the right direction?
( i can't call and ask vague questions like – um, can you tell me where to send money for a ticket i got for speeding and i dont know what else…..not sure what town,,, maybe blah blah or blahblahblaah……. Also i dont have any idea how much it was for.. so sending money to the county in may have been it won't work.. I need to 'track' this using my name and DL#. )

i've recently gotten a speeding ticket from Louisiana state, I have a Texas DL.. I was speeding 80 in a 60mph zone, because I did not notice the speed went from 70 down to 60. I wanted to know around how much would the ticket be if i pay for it… and is there any other options? I can not find any information on it… and YES i have tried calling them.. they said i have to wait for 3 more weeks for the ticket to actually get in the system.. or else they will not give me any information. ANYTHING would help. Thanks!
