I was wondering if some one knows what are the fees that the county may asses (ballpark figure) if I end up fighting my speeding ticket with a lawyer representing me. I am trying to estimate if the entire cost is worth it or if I should pay the higher insurance for 3 years. The ticket I got would be 4points in my state

officer lost my ticket,?
I was pulled over almost 2 months ago and my court date was 2-3 weeks it was for unlawfull turning and speed contest, I hired an attorney he went to court but he told me that the court postponed my court date because the officer who pulled me over lost my ticket the speed contest ticket and when he gave me my ticket he gave me one ticket with both of the violations unlawful turning and speed contest so how would he lose my ticket and fail to file it , if he had it on one ticket.
My main questions are if they can't find the other ticket what will happen? [my court date was postponed to august]
and my other question is that my lawyer has been looking like crazy if I have a warrant but he cant seem to find my case or warrant if I have one, What if I get pulled over? how do I find out if i have a warrant?, and If I get pulled over and I do have a warrant which I shouldn't I havent missed court what if I get arrested because they lost my ticket what can I do?

i got one yesterday, and one today. i know i know, i have the worst of luck and was following traffic on the second one. i don't need chastising. what do/can i do? do i go to court, hire a lawyer, pay the fees? what do u suggest?

i got my license suspended bc i didnt pay for a speeding ticket i had gotten like a yr ago..so one day i was driving and a cop was behind me at a red light and ran my tag number and pulled me over and gave me a ticket for having my license suspended and because i didnt know it wasnt considerd crimnal..but then like 2 weeks later i was driving and at a red light again i got stopped!!!! for the same thing because the cop ran my tag..and i didnt get arrested but i got like this crimnal thing ..and they are making me go to court which is tomorrow..im so worried i dont have a lawyer and i dont know what im gonna say..what do you think they will do to me?

im 16 had my license for 3 months and got pulled over for the first time the other night for speeding. doing 48 in 30 at 9:10 pm with dj license. no cars on the road and had just dropped my friend off and was trying to get home. i had a small baggie of pot and got a possesion ticket, speed in zone, and driving out of class. do i need a lawyer or should i plead guilty?and will my license get suspended ?

The title really says it all. I'm 18, living in NC, and have a clean driving record other than a seat belt ticket that I paid off before the court date. I was clocked doing 88 in a 55 coming up behind an unmarked car that happened to be the sheriff, he was in the left lane and I had no idea it was an unmarked car so I tailgated him until he got over. Once I got ahead he pulled me over, needless to say he hated me and on top of that threatened to take me to jail. I'm getting a lawyer, but I don't really know what to expect to come of this, so if anyone has some ideas I would appreciate it. Please no reprimanding "what you did was stupid" comments, I'm fully aware that it wasn't one of my best choices. Thank you.

How to dismiss a moving violation in St. Louis, MO?
What can I do to dismiss a 15 mph over the speed limit moving violation in St. Louis, MO city? Will Traffic school do that? Anything outside of a lawyer. I have not had a ticket in over 22 years and I do not want my insurance rates to increase. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks

, unfortunately now I am paying the price of my mistake. It requires a court appearance because of how fast I was going.
I've been seeking lawyers that may be willing to offer me advice for a fee as I can't afford the legal representation costs. In hopes of improving my chances in court, no lawyer yet has offered any services to give me a few words of advice.
I come here asking two questions: Is this lack of assistance the norm for law firms and so I should just quit trying? (Some sort of unwritten rule or something?)
Is there any advice someone can give me that can help me better prepare myself for the court date? I would be greatly appreciative.
I really just wish to explain to the judge that I did do something wrong and that I have learned a lot from my mistake over the months. I just hope to show to the judge this is usually not part of my character (through my grades in school, etc) and that she may consider a reduced penalty, possibly with no points, a monetary fee (likely) and possibly school.
Should I consider to plea no contest, not guilty or guilty?

I received a speeding ticket in Bronx, NY going 81 in a 50 mph zone. What are my options to fight this ticket?
I received this ticket on my NY license, but have since moved to MA and acquired a license there. I am required to attend the hearing and cannot even plead guilty online; but since I live more than 150 miles from the court house I can submit a written plea and an affidavit instead of making an appearance.
Should I just submit a written plea and an affidavit and pay the fine and Driver Assessment fees? Does anyone know what the fine would be and if I will get points on my MA license?

I was pulled over on I-65 in Indiana for speeding. One cop pulled me over but was not the one who had the radar on me. A second cop who was 5 miles back was the one who radared me. I had my cruise control set at 85 mph, yet the cop gave me a real hard time, began asking me numerous unnecessary questions and when his partner arrived, issued me a ticket claiming I was going 124 mph. This is absolutely ridiculous, my cruise control was set and there is no way I could have been going that fast. I drive a 2004 Ford Taurus V6 3.0L, my speedometer stops at 120 mph and even further, the car has a powertrain modulator that is factory installed that shuts the fuel pump and powertrain off after you reach 110 mph (Also have proof of this). Somehow, i was not arrested, my license was given back to me!? and i was issued a "speeding" citation with a requirement to appear in court. The cop mentioned something about the possibility of it being bumped up to reckless driving, but I am absolutely stunned by this because it is ludacris. I'm highly considering getting a lawyer, but what defense do I have in this situation. I know for a 100% fact that this ticket issued is incorrect, but how do I prove it?

I just got a speeding ticket in MN for what the cop says was 71 in a 55. We were going opposite directions so I don't know how accurate that is. Is there a way to find out how much the ticket will be. Also, would going to court help reduce the fine or give me other options? What if I can't pay for it? Will I have a warrant just for having in sufficient funds or are there other options such as community service or jail time that I could just serve so I don't have to wait for a warrant then deal with it? What do you do about a speeding ticket 2 hours from where you live but in the same state.?
If a person is given a speeding ticket in a city in County A of Alabama, but lives 2 hours away in County B in Alabama, do they go to court in the city of the county where the incident happened or can they go to one closer where they live? If somebody does not show up for court what actually happens? How much does a lawyer cost to help prove that somebody was wrongly convicted? Is that person required to pay the lawyer upfront or only if they win the case.
What does it really mean when somebody is arrested and the cops reads the Miranda Rights and mentions if you can not afford an attorney they will get you one. How can they determine if you can afford one or not. Does it really mean that they will get you an attorney for free but you have to pay them back later?

I have no other moving violations. I have a court date set and was in violation of G.S.20-141(j1) It happened in Robeson Conty North Carolina. I have never had a speeding ticket before and I am not sure if it is worth hiring a lawyer for. Could anyone offer any useful information? Oh yeah I was going 80 in a 60mph zone. I got a speeding ticket… does my insurance company have to know?
So I was driving home today and got a speeding ticket. I was doing "47" (which i definately wasn't) in a 35, but it was a school zone so it was actually a 25 at the time but the officer let me off on that one.
I got a 6 fine (which I'm OK about paying becuase I realize I was speeding and am fine with the consequences).
However, I'm worried about my insurance going up... I'm 17 and my insurance was due to half in price next month becuase I had a clean record. But now that I got a ticket, I'm assuming it's going to go up.
My mom got a ticket for rolling a stop sign a couple of months ago and used some form with a lawyer to basically nullify the ticket, but that can only be used once every 3 years per household.
So is there anyway I can get my insurance not to go up?

How to handle a speeding ticket from Delaware?
I got a speeding ticket on Route 13 Highway going 53 mph in 35 mph in Delaware. I really need to get the most lenient punishment possible as possible since this will effect my consideration for a job I am trying to obtain. I spoke to a lawyer and he said that he can get me no points, however, in NJ, when I had last gotten a ticket, I never had to go see a lawyer, I just would speak with the prosecutor or officer myself.
