My friend got a speeding ticket while we were in Louisiana but she lives in Texas. If she doesn’t appear in court she’ll have a warrant out. But, doesn’t the warrant "go away" after seven years? Also, if she doesn’t go to Louisiana again is there any way of Texas police finding out?
And she already called Lousiana about it and they said due to her high speed, it’s a mandatory court appearance because the judge decides the fine.
Would it be better to take the ticket deferral or just pay the fine? It was a minor 2 point violation for speeding 54 in a 40. The state trooper also issued a written warning for disregarding a traffic signal. This is my first ticket in over seven years and State Farm states this shouldn’t raise my premium. Is this true or are they just saying this so I will pump more money into their company. Anyone familiar with this process…….Please Help?!?!
I am from out of state with out of state DL on a rental car. Got pulled over for speeding (62 on 35 mph, Farm road). My licence is a Tx licence and I was pulled over in New Jersey. Do I need a lawyer or I can fight that myself since this is my first ticket after seven years. I am not sure how the point system works on a different state licence. I never been to the court for speeding ticket and not sure how to approach it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Just after starting school for my CDL I got a ticket for doing 63 in a 45 (I just entered a lower speed zone and didn’t slow down in time… he was on the other side of a hill). This was the first ticket I’ve had in 5 years and my second in the past seven years. I don’t think I was going that fast and I really need to get the ticket reduced below the over 15mph mark but would prefer it could be beaten. I don’t know what to do and I just got laid off from my job and don’t have much money. Driving a truck was to be my new job and this happened. Are there legal services that may be able to help me for free or at a low rate? I would be glad to work out a payment plan to make this go away. I received the ticket in Griffin, Ga. Please help.
