You can get a ticket for going OVER the speed limit, but can you get one for going UNDER the speed limit?
For example, say if the speed limit is at least 65 miles per hour (MPH) and a person does like 35 MPH. Can they be ticketed for that?

limit over all bridges is 45. He argued this point as crossing over a bridge on the highway the speed limit stays 55 and when he showed me the ticket the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was circled 3 times. He wants to go to court but do you think the reason it was circled 3 times is to show the judge he was being a 'MassHole"?

First speeding ticket…?
I am in the state of Washington and today, I was pulled over by a cop for speeding. I was going 37 in a 25 mph zone (I thought the speed limit was 35). This is my first speeding ticket and i don't really know what to do. Will my insurance go up? Should I go to court or just pay the fine? If I do go to court, should I go through with a mitigation hearing or a contested hearing?

I got a ticket for going 1mph over the speed limit and got charged . It was a passing lane, No cars where coming. This car infront of me was going 15mph under the speed limit. I slowed down to 25 after i got infront of him. Is that considered illegal?
First speeding ticket – HELP?
I just got my first ticket and I'm not sure what to do. The back of the citation says,
"PLEAD NOT GUILTY by notifying the proper Magisterial District Judge in writing, signing the appropriate plea below, and by forwarding for collateral an amount equal to the Total Due as specified in ITEM 34 on the reverse side .... "
I understand the signing the form and paying the fee part, but it says I must notify the judge in writing...does that mean I write a letter along with the other stuff? Or does the form and fee constitute 'in writing'? I don't want to do something stupid.

P.S. It was half an honest mistake (thinking the speed limit was one thing when it was really another) and half I don't think they clocked me right (too high).

I didn't believe I was driving at such a high speed and asked to see what he locked me in at on his radar. He allowed me to see and it was 120(20 over the limit.) I didn't notice that the ticket read 21-30 over until I got home.
Now I want to contest the ticket, I saw the radar was 20 over the limit, but he's ticketed me for 21-30 over the limit. This ticket is costing me double the $$$ what 20 over the limit would cost and comes with 3 demerit points, whereas my 'proper ticket' would only come with 2 demerit points.

Need some ticket advice?
Well I was goign along a 7 lane highway (total amount of lanes) and was in the right lane. Speed limit is 60. Well coming the other was was a school bus in the right lane. So I was in lane one and the bus was in lane 7. I was with a group of cars. honestly I did not see the bus at all on the other side, until it was too late to stop. The cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for failure to yield to a school bus. When I did see the bus it was when I was right next to it and it did look like it was pulling away but I'm not 100% sure. What can I do? How much will this ticket be and how many points? This is my third ticket since July 30th. I got my license July 22. First ticket I did defensive driving. Second ticket an attorney was hired to get it removed, but what do I do for this one? Will my license be suspended since it is my third ticket and I'm only 16? The first two tickets were for speeding and I have slowed down since then, and even when I'm going the speed limit I still get f*****.
I know I broke the law but I also do not believe that there should be a school bus stop on a busy highway. That just plain dangerous.

First speeding ticket, 70 in a 55? What to do?
I'm 16 years old, yes I know we're the most deadly drivers on the road, etc. I know I was going fast, but it was because my girlfriends father was in the hospital and I wanted to get there to comfort her and everything.. But besides the fact, I got pulled over by state highway patrol in North Carolina, the guy was coming towards me and I slowed down to about 60 when he flew by me, he did a u-turn and pulled me.
Now this is my first time ever having to deal with anything like this, and I was pretty shocked when he came to the window and I didn't know what to say or do so I just told him "Im on the way to my girlfriends house." I never admitted to doing anything or going fast, so I guess I have that on my side.
But still, I've had my license 2 months and I got pulled for 70 in a 55, and my court date is in April. What should I do, what should I expect, and how do I go about handling my first ticket?
I've truly learned my lesson as I've been driving UNDER the speed limit now, I'm terrified of any car that passes by now thinking its a cop or something haha.. but yeah, what to do?

I just got my first speeding ticket, for going 13 mph over the speed limit. It is 0 and 2 points. This is the first ticket I've ever gotten. Will it raise my insurance rates if its my first ticket? I have Allstate, I live in Colorado, and I am a 16 year old girl.
Also, is it possible to go to court, instead of just paying the fine, and try to get the ticket lowered?

contesting my speeding ticket?
I was on a back road at about 6pm on new years eve. In a place where I have both really stupid friends and really stupid enemies. Neither me nor my friend saw the police officer heading our way so we turned out. Within seconds she was tailgating me. I was going the speed limit of 55mph and there she was maybe 2 feet from my bumper so i sped up. I was a little scared. I got to 65 and the person turned on their dome light. Which was what she later claimed was to tell me she was a cop. The only ppl I know of that turn their dome lights on are people who are lost or stoners. So I sped up to 70... I almost missed my turn so i quickly flipped on my blinker and turned and promptly got pulled over. She was tailgating me for about 1/4 of a mile before she pulled me over... can i contest it and win? I need to know soon my fine is due in just like a week
this is my first ticket. and i told the cop i didn't think she a cop and she told me that's why she turned her dome lights on

I recently got a speeding ticket on I-95 in Newbury, MA. I was going 22 mph over the speed limit according to the officer. The boxes "LIDAR" and "Estimated" were checked. The officer also mistakenly tacked on a seat belt infraction. If I were to contest this ticket, firstly where would the court hearing be held. Secondly, what is the best way to argue my case at the hearing? The seat belt charge has no merit, as I ALWAYS wear it, but it will be my word against the officer's. Also, do I have any case in the speeding charge?
speeding ticket and other tickets
Well today I got three tickets, and I wanted to know what one of them was. On the description part it says FTC ??? what does that mean ??? the other one was for uninspection, and the last one was for speeding in zone. The mph zone was 30mph and the cop said i was going 62 !!! meanwhile he didn't show me the radar cause he just guessed that I went 62. So that is 32mph over the speed limit. Can i go to court and tell the judge that I really was not going 62, because I know for sure the cop did not use a radar and he just guessed my speed, because he did the same with another guy right after he pulled me over. Also I wanted to know how many points will it be for everything??? does the ftc and uninspection give me points? and how many points for the speeding?? Also give me advice, if I should apply not guilty and what I should tell the judge. THANK YOU !!!
